Dust PR were appointed to represent British Heritage brand Barbour in 2008 to advise on and implement Barbour's fashion PR strategy including media positioning within the fashion market

What We Did

Dust represented British heritage brand Barbour for 6 years. Our brief was to advise on and implement the brand's fashion PR strategy and ensure high profile media and VIP placement that both grew the brand's profile whilst maintaining its credibility

Additionally we were responsible for all fashion media / VIP events spanning women's, mens and kids including specific project work on collections created in collaboration with the Steve McQueen Foundation, Paul Smith, Grenson and J Cheaney. We also organised two major top editor focus group sessions for the brand to gain valuable feedback on strategy which took place at two year intervals, the first at The Ivy and second at 5 Hereford Street

Dust PR London were instrumental in proposing and project managing fashion collaborations to meet specific commercial objectives around growing mid layer business and opening premium fashion retail doors. These included Bella Freud, Alice Temperley, Lady Amanda Harlech and Norton & Sons

Aside from reporting into Barbour's PR manager at HQ we also had an independent brief for which we reported into the head of digital marketing that involved strategically advising on and building social media presence, developing content and assisting in building the digital personality of the brand

Dust PR London contributed to a 211% increase in profits over our tenure. Significant and constant high quality coverage through all areas of target media complimented by highly strategic VIP seeding that aligned the brand with key influencers
